Dr. Peter Clyne is an Associate Adjunct Clinical Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Notre Dame Australia. He has 50 years' experience across a vast breadth of general medical practice. He was principal partner for 20 years in his family practice in the inner west of Sydney, consulting and being available on-call 24/7 to his patients.
A/Prof. Clyne has performed a very wide range of clinical services, including office surgery, industrial medicine, audiometry, exercise stress-testing, allergy testing, spinal mobilisation and manipulation, cryotherapy, sigmoidoscopy and acute resuscitation. He has been a leading innovator in practice management and office pathology.
A/Prof. Clyne has held senior national leadership roles, including Chairman of Council (chairman of the board) of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He has represented General Practice at Commonwealth, State, and Local Area levels on a multitude of government and professional committees.
A/Prof. Clyne has been a Medical Educator for the RACGP Training Program and an examiner for the RACGP. He is presently an Examiner for the Australian Medical Council.
